In February of 2012, Chantilly Bible church had completed a transition to a new senior pastor, and to a new international format for their worship services. With these changes complete, and going smoothly, God began to stir in Ray and Don the vision of beginning a new church in Loudoun county. The growth projections for the region were off the chart. It seemed to be the perfect time to plant a new church.
After six months of “Prayer and Planning”, Arcola Bible Church was conceived on August 15, 2012, when the leadership team of 12 people gathered together and agreed God was leading them to start a new church.
In mid September, two home groups started to meet in the Dulles South area of Loudoun County. (These groups are still meeting.) Through the Fall, on the second Friday of each month, we gathered together at Chantilly Bible Church and began to shape our church culture.
Our launch was on January 6, 2013 at 10 am at Arcola Elementary School. We had a great start with nearly 90 folks attending. Many of them were “well wishers” who came to encourage us as we begin. We continue to meet each Sunday morning at 10 am. If you live in the Dulles South area, we invite you to come and grow with us.
